Virtual Servers
Virtual Servers grow on demand with zero hardware-risk and maximum reliability.
|
ESX Virtual Servers are an enterprise platform that allows multiple virtual machines to share physical resources and run side-by-side on the same server. Each Virtual Server represents a complete system, with processors, memory, networking, storage and BIOS.
Unlike VPS or Dedicated Servers, Web Drive Virtual Servers are hardware-independent and run on a high-availability cluster. The cluster automatically migrates Virtual Servers to spare host machines in the event of hardware failure. |

Virtual Server Features & Benefits
- Virtual Servers are hardware independent
- Enterprise-quality infrastructure
- Flexible growth and cost-effective
- Daily snapshot backups
- Enterprise-quality network
- Powerful remote management
Hardware-independent
In the event of hardware failure, Virtual Servers are automatically started on spare hardware resulting in minimal downtime. No waiting for hardware to be replaced or servers to be repaired. We do this offline, while your sites stay online.
Enterprise-quality infrastructure
The infrastructure has no single point of failure and the hardware is backed up by a 24/7 HP
hardware-replacement contract. The system continues running even if hardware fails. In fact,
the environment is so smart it contacts HP itself if there is a problem!Flexible growth and cost-effective
With a Virtual Server, you pay for the resources you need now with the flexibility to increase resources within minutes. No hardware to purchase or contracts to sign.
Daily snapshot backups
Snapshot backups contain everything you need to get your Virtual Server up and running again in the event of an emergency. It can take minutes to get a working copy of your Virtual Server running rather than the hours it could take with more basic backup solutions. Enterprise-quality network
The Network Centre provides multiple delivery paths for all essential services thereby
minimising the chances of downtime due to network failure. For example, all hardware in the
Virtual Server environment is connected to two power feeds.
Powerful remote management
We are able to remotely reboot and manage your Virtual Server including upgrading and downgrading virtual hardware resources. This removes the need for technicians to be physically on site with the server to carry out any urgent support or upgrades.
